Hoedown Throwdown.

Ok so I never did get the opportunity to do the hoedown throwdown at Taylor's Hoedown Night, but I did have a great time square dancing! The activities began around 2pm, where they split us into our "O-Groups" and we did competitions. We even got to play a popular Miracle Camp game, "Giants, Wizards, and Gnomes"! I'm learning more and more that Taylor and their students have a huge impact on Miracle Camp, whether it be games, chants, or simply traditions around campus. After our O-Group competitions and some relaxing, we ventured off to the the famous Hoedown Night at 6pm. After a few awkward minutes, the hoedown began and everyone just jumped right in! Seeing as no one knew what they were doing.. we all just did our best, having a blast as we did it :)

Samuel Morris Hall (aka Sammy) has many traditions, one which we took part in tonight. About 80+ guys took a walk to Circle K (more commonly referred to as Handy Andy) where we bought snacks and just had a great time making noise and laughing as we walked down the roads (pictured above)

There are yet some traditions that I won't post on here, but if you want to know more just ask me.. :)

Taylor University.

I made it! It's so hard to believe I am just 11 hours away from being a college student! Where did that come from? Throughout this year, I plan on posting weekly (or semi-weekly) updates on life here at Taylor . I realize that due to my "I'll do it later" nature, I may fall behind on these.. (most likely I will) but I will do my best! Feelings of nervousness, anxiety, sadness and happiness are filling my mind right now.. I don't really know how I want to feel at this moment. I am sure this year will be full of many memorable moments and I am looking forward each and every one of them. I am learning to just give God control of every situation, for He alone knows what is best for me! I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences with you all.
