AIRBAND 2009!

So I realized I haven't really been keeping this updated, sorry about that. Although there hasn't been too much going on recently, one big event that just happened was AirBand. Airband is pretty much lip-sinking/putting together a music video. People work REALLY hard on these! If standing in line at 4:30 for an 8p.m. show doesn't prove how awesome this is, some of the videos I post should help. As the doors burst open, a huge crowd of people pushed and shoved to get the best seat they could.. I just happened to be stuck at the front of that shoving.
I'll put some links below.. and update them as more videos pop up on youtube. Although you don't need to waste your time watching every single video, I encourage you to watch a lot :) (Boom Boom Pow was named the winner, put on by the seniors.. I though Beat It should have won though.) If you ever come to Taylor during this time, it is definitely something you'll want to see!

Airband Commercials:
Yo Brushes his Teeth (This was my favorite commercial, mainly because I know Yo though..)
Airband Show:
Boom Boom Pow (the winners)
Thriller/Disturbia (the guy that plays Michael Jackson is my PA!)
Make a Man out of You (another good one)

Parents Weekend

This past weekend I was able to see my family and my aunt, uncle, and cousin! The whole weekend was altogether really fun and it was good to be able to connect back up with those close to me. Jordan, Justin and Jon were able to spend the night with me each one night, which was good for getting them a feel for the awesome fun of dorm life. Another highlight of that weekend was listening to Ken Davis and the TU Choral. Ken was hilarious and the Choral was great!! Sadly, my family had to leave Sunday afternoon. I am definitely looking forward to their next visit/my next trip home!

Another, now funny, event that happened recently was having a fire-alarm go off at 1:50 in the morning! After getting to bed around 11:30 (sort of early..) I was awaken to the sounds of blaring noise and flashing strobe lights. We all had to evacuate the building and stand out in the 40 degree, windy weather for 15 minutes until the fire truck arrived! We got back in the room a little after 2 and eventually got back to bed. The culprit.. someone burnt their raman noodles..
